GUIDANCE

Do you want to be on a Teen Court? Anthony Hurst the current law clerk for Judge Timothy Grendell of the Geauga County Juvenile Court will be in to speak during homeroom in Mrs. Smith’s room A210 on Wednesday September 3rd.

There is a student council meeting in Mrs. Leone’s room A110 on Wednesday, September 3rd. We will be discussing plans for Homecoming…new members are always welcome! See Mrs. Leone for info if you cannot attend.

There will be a Math Club meeting during HR on Wednesday Sept. 3rd in Room C138. If you cannot attend please see Mr. Koltas for sign up info.

NHS paperwork is due Thursday, Aug. 28. Turn in to the Guidance office

Kenston Academic Academy (KAA) is now in session. This is an after-school homework & make-up work program that allows all students to have access to the library from 2:30 to 3:30 Mon – Thurs. Please consider taking advantage of this program if you need motivation or help in completing your homework. Also, Mrs. Shepherd is on hand to give you help with study and test-taking strategies. See you there.

How would you like to be part of an underground sports ring? Well, with Kenston Underground Bocce Ball League now you can be. Our season begins Friday, September 5th. 2nd announcement: Ever wonder what it’s like to be part of the coolest club at Kenston? Then become part of the Kenston Underground Unicycle League, ‘Cause it’s cool to be part of K.U.U.L. Classes begin Thursday, September 4th. Interested in either the bocce league or KUUL? Are you interested in raising your SAT score by 100 points or earning a high score on the PSAT National Merit Scholar Test? Kenston Community Education is offering a SAT/PSAT preparation course beginning September 8. The course is six weeks long and is taught by Mr. Koltas and Mr. Marchesi in the KHS library. Registration forms are available in room A119, in the guidance office, and on the KCE website

ATHLETICS

There will be a meeting for all girls who are planning on playing basketball with Coach Hinkle on Wednesday, September 3rd during homeroom in the cafeteria. If you are planning on playing, you need to be at this meeting

Morning Open Weight Room sessions will begin Wednesday September 3 6am to 6:50am These open weight room sessions are open to anybody and will be three days a week. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesdays going forward. See you in the morning.
