Presale tickets for the football game against Chagrin will be available during lunch blocks in the cafeteria and in athletics after school on Thursday and Friday. Please buy in advance to avoid the long lines! Student tickets are $4 while adult tickets are $6. All tickets at the gate are $6.

Bomber Games is almost here! Sign-ups for basketball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, and volleyball will take place the week of September 29th-October 3rd. All teams are co-ed and each student may participate in only one sport. Please stop by Athletics or the cafeteria during your lunch block to sign up.

Students seeking volunteer opportunities should check out the updated Volunteer Blue page of the KHS website. From the Home Page, click Parents, or Our Community and then click Volunteer Blue where you will see a number of local organizations in need of help from students just like you.

Journalism Club Members: there will be a meeting Monday in Mr. Novak’s room (A111) to discuss progress on assignments and plan for coverage of homecoming week.

Senior athletes who have not turned in their bios for this Friday’s All-Sports senior night please do so now! Blank forms are available in the athletics office.

Principal’s Leadership Council applications are available in the guidance office for sophomores, juniors, and seniors. They are due by Monday September 29

Homecoming is just around the corner! The homecoming dance will be held on Saturday, October 11th from 7:00pm- 10:00pm in the KHS cafeteria and gym. Homecoming Dance tickets will be on sale for $15.00 Tuesday, September 30th through Friday, October 10th. Tickets will not be sold at the door! Stay tuned for more details!

Speech and Debate is starting another season tomorrow- Friday, Sept 26 at 2:30 in Ms. Burton’s room at KMS. If you are interested come find out about this wonderful academic team! If you have any questions feel free to ask any team member or email Ms Burton.


Join the fun every Tuesday Night starting October 2, from 7:00-9:30 at the Auburn Town Hall to share your talents! We are looking for Children, teens and adults to showcase their songs, dancing, poetry, comedy, musical instrument ability, juggling, and or any other talents that they wish to perform and share. Spectators are welcome. There is a $2 admission fee at the door. Register your act for free at KCE or come out and watch! Hope to see you there!


LEAF will hold 2 free sessions for high school seniors and their parents regarding the College Admissions Application process on September 24, 2014 at 6:30 PM and October 1, 2014 at 6:30 PM at the LEAF Resource Center, 8221 Auburn Road in Concord. College Admissions Representatives from various types of schools will address all of your questions regarding the college admissions process, including procedures as well as common mistakes students make on college admissions applications. Representatives from Case Western Reserve University, John Carroll University, University of Akron, Cleveland State University, Lake Erie College, and Lakeland Community College will serve on the panel. Students – are you interested in a part-time job? Check the job board across from Guidance for new postings. Also, there are several opportunities for volunteer service posted on the Guidance window. Currently, the Geauga Department on Aging is asking for volunteers to help senior citizens in the area during fall clean-up days. Gain community service hours while helping seniors who can no longer take care of their yards remain independent and live in a safe, clean environment. Call 440-279-2129 or 2130. Several colleges are visiting this week: Tuesday, Sept. 23, the University of Cincinnati is coming at 8:30 and Syracuse University at 9:30. Wednesday, Sept. 24, Miami University of Ohio visits at 11:30 and Otterbein University is here at 1 p.m. Thursday, Elon University from Elon, N.C. is coming at 10:15. Friday, Lake Erie College is here at 10 a.m. and Denison University from Granville visits at 11:15. Don’t forget to check the Guidance bulletin daily for updates. Sign up in Guidance to attend all presentations and get a pass.

Attention Sophomores and Juniors: United Way of Geauga County is looking for students willing to participate in a wonderful opportunity to give back financially to your community. If you are interested in helping improve your community and being part of a great cause-see Mrs. Detwiler in the guidance office for an application and further details.
