Do you write song lyrics or poetry in your free time? Are you someone who has been told by teachers and family that you have a fantastic imagination? Then the Pulse Writing Club welcomes you! This creative writing club will meet on Tuesday, September 16, in Ms. Joyce’s room, Rm. A113, from 2:30-3:15. All creative writers are welcome to join.

Attention members of the Computer Coding Club: Due to an unanticipated scheduling conflict, Mr. Mason will be unable to host club after school today. Plan on attending next Monday as usual.

Any and all students interested in media production or journalism should attend the Journalism Club meeting on Wednesday during homeroom in the English lab. Email or see Mr. Novak (A111) with any questions.

The Buy Blue store will be open Wednesday this week at lunch. Make sure you stop by to check out our awesome school supplies and support your Kenston CEC club!

There will be a meeting in the auditorium on Wednesdays for the auditorium tech crew. We will be discussing training dates. Be sure to stop by, especially if you missed the 1st meeting!

Kenston Center Stage is having a kick-off meeting in the Auditiorium at 4:15 this Wednesday with auditions for the fall play immediately following. Auditions will also be held on Thursday at 6:00. Please arrive at these start times, however, you do not need to prepare anything to audition. More information is posted on the Kenston Center Stage webpage under “extracurriculars.”

There will be a Math Club meeting Wednesday in C138 during HR. See Mr. Koltas if you cannot attend.

Kenston will be celebrating International Day of Peace on Monday, Sept. 22nd. To show our support you are invited to bring in a T-shirt to tye-dye during lunch on Thursday, Sept. 18 or Friday, Sept. 19. Then we are asking that students were the shirt that they made on Peace Day Monday.

Interested in serving on a Teen Court in Geauga County? Come hear Law Clerk Anthony Hurst discuss this opportunity Wednesday during Homeroom in room A210 Mrs. Smith’s room.

Attention Student Council members and officers…we will be having student council meetings every Monday and Wednesday during homeroom from now until Homecoming in Mrs. Leone’s room (A110)! Plan on attending…if you ever can’t make it to a meeting, see Mrs. Leone! New members are always welcome!

This week several universities will visit KHS.

Monday, Sept. 15, Case Western Reserve will be here at 1 p.m.; Tuesday, Ohio University in Athens is here at 8 a.m. and Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh visits at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, Earlham College is here at 11:15 a.m. Check the Guidance bulletin board regularly for updates. Sign up in Guidance to attend all presentations and get a pass.
