Bombers Sweep Local Art Show

On February 22, many Kenston Bombers competed in tslezak-sam-ls-3125he Lake & Geauga County Art Show.  This show is open to all Lake and Geauga County schools.  With over 500 entries into the show, Kenston took six out of nine of the top spots in the show, the Talent Grant Winners. Halle D’Amico won one of the $500 prizes. Garrett Rosinski and Melanie Formica won two of the $300 prizes. Andrew Most, Matt Ballard, and Erica Belfi each won a $200 prize. With 500+ entries, only 400 pieces are judged for awards.  The lowest 200 are given the Honorable Mention award.  The next 100 are given the Gold Seal award.  The top 100 are given the Blue Ribbon award.  These top 100 pieces are judged for a final time to determine the winners of the Grants.  When asked about her feelings of Kenston winning six out of nine top spots, Mrs. Quinn said, “Kenston Art Students are an elite group of students and are real superheroes of art.”
