The cheerleaders hosted the Winter Formal dance at the High School, starting at 7 p.m., Saturday, February 28, which was the last Winter Formal Dance for the Class of 2015.
This dance was unfortunately the last Winter Formal dance for the senior students at Kenston High School. Not many seniors attended the dance though. “Once people become seniors, people start to feel like dances, besides prom, are lame,” According to senior, Carri D’Angelo.
“I am happy I attended my last Winter Formal dance, although it was not as fun as it could’ve been, I still really enjoyed going. I am sad knowing that there are no more Winter Formals in my future,” said Halle Fodor.
This is the third time for the Class of 2015 that the date of the Winter Formal dance was cancelled and changed due to School closings and weather. Originally it was supposed to be February 21, but it had to be changed to February 28 because of the snow day. Because of the change, a lot of people in the grade were not able to attend.
“It could have been a lot better if the whole grade would have come together and had a great time at Winter Formal. It is sad knowing that our grade has so little time together, yet we still do not live out our last possible experiences together,” said Kate Blackburn.
The saddening last Winter Formal dance ended at 10 p.m. on Saturday, February 28th, bringing the seniors another step closer to their final goodbye.
