Kenston Volleyball is back and ready to prepare for the upcoming fall season! Starting in March and continuing over the summer, open gyms will take place at the high school in order to keep skills up. These events are open for all girls aging from freshman to seniors interested in being a part of the Kenston program.
This upcoming season is all about change. With the loss of seniors Rachael Brezovec, Kayla Braun, and Jen Smith, and moving in to a new conference, the team will have to overcome some big obstacles. “The volleyball program is looking forward to what looks like the start of another successful season. We are excited to promote the other fall sports and dominate our new conference”, said Cam Oakes.
Last year’s season ended with a final record of 18-8, with the girls losing a tough match in the Regional semi-final to Brunswick High School (3-1). “I am looking forward to the season,” said junior Michala Jepson. “We are a talented groups of girls that can do great things when given the opportunity.” This season they are hoping to return to the semi-finals and finish what they started!
