Kenston senior captain Anthony Hadju belted 2 home runs, one a 2-run shot in the 4th inning and another a grand slam in the 5th, leading the Bombers to a 13-4 victory over Washington-Lee, VA at the Cal Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, SC. Kenston jumped on Washington-Lee for 3 runs in the top half of the 1st inning, triggered by a 2-run single by senior Anderson Ellis. Kenston put a 3-spot on the board again in the 4th inning thanks to Hadju’s first round tripper, and added 4 more in the 5th on Hadju’s 2nd blast to put the game away. Kenston out hit Washington-Lee 11-7, with sophomore Barret Weber collecting 3 hits, while senior Mitchell Lyon, Hadju, and junior Sam Obringer each had 2 hits apiece. Hadju had 6 RBI, while Ellis chipped in with 2 RBI. Senior captain Peter Rozman started on the bump, going 5 strong innings to earn his 2nd win of the season. Kenston improves to 4-2, while Washington-Lee, VA drops to 14-10 on the season.
