Kenston senior Mitchell Lyon’s first at bat in the bottom of the 1st inning was a home run plating the first run for the Bombers, and his last at bat drove in the decisive 12th run in the bottom of the 6th inning, leading Kenston to a 12-2 victory over Orange at Kenston HS. Lyon’s first inning blast was off Orange senior starter Landon Slomovitz, who did not survive the 2nd inning before being replaced on the hill by junior Ross Groedel. Kenston out-hit Orange 10-4, with Lyon leading the way with 3 hits, while junior Jake Silbermann chipped in with 2 hits. Senior Andrew Moyal had 3 of the 4 hits for Orange. Kenston’s senior captain Peter Rozman drove in 3 runs, Lyon, senior captain Anthony Hajdu, and junior captain Adam Bush each drove in 2 runs apiece. Hajdu started on the hill for the Bombers, earning his 3rd win of the year. Orange starter Slomovitz suffered the loss, his 2nd of the year. Kenston improves to 9-4 and 5-0 in CVC play, while Orange drops to 2-8 and 1-6 in CVC action.
