Kenston 7 ~ Chagrin Falls 4

Kenston junior Jimmy Artale doubled home the go-ahead run in the top of the 6th inning leading Kenston to a 7-4 victory over Chagrin Falls on senior night at Chagrin Falls HS.  In all, Kenston scored 4 runs in the top of the 6th to break the game open – senior captain Peter Rozman led off the 6th with a walk; senior captain Anthony Hajdu doubled in Rozman to tie the score; Artale plated sophomore pinch runner Matt Shell; senior Anderson Ellis drove in Artale; and senior Nathan Blake knocked in Ellis to close the scoring in the inning.  Kenston outhit Chagrin Falls 9-6, led by Ellis’ 3 hits and Artale’s 2 hits.  Artale and Ellis each drove in 2 runs for the Bombers, while senior Joey Casarona drove in 2 runs for the Tigers.  Senior Rozman started on the hill for Kenston, going the distance with 8 strikeouts, to earn his 4th win of the season.  Chagrin Falls Drew Baker suffered his first loss of the season.  Kenston improves 11-6 and 7-2 in CVC play, while Chagrin Falls drops 15-7 and 7-3 in CVC action.
