The Kenston Baseball team recently returned from Vero Beach, Florida. The Bombers stayed at Historic Dodgertown. The facility once served as the Spring Training destination for the Los Angeles Dodgers, hosting many baseball greats such as Jackie Robinson. While down there the team took on five talented teams. The Bombers were only able to walk away with one win but they played some well fought games. The trip offered a great opportunity to work out some early season kinks and to bond as a team. Although the trip was focused on baseball the players were able to enjoy their spring break when they visited the beach and enjoyed the flawless weather. Senior Captain Brad Davis said “I really enjoyed finally getting out in some nice weather and to get to face some good competition.” The Bombers returned Saturday, April 4th. They were scheduled to take on the Aurora Greenmen on the 7th and 8th but due to poor weather those games will be pushed back to the 9th and 10th. Make sure to come out and support the Bomber’s Baseball team this season as they look to make a run for the CVC title.
