Kenston scored 5 times after 2 outs in the bottom-half of the first inning, launching the Bombers to a 8-3 victory over West Geauga at Kenston varsity high school field, in a game called in the bottom of the 6th due to inclement weather. With 2 outs in the 1st, Kenston strung together 5 hits and a walk, starting with junior Barrett Weber’s double. Weber added a solo-shot/homerun in the 4th. Kenston out hit West Geauga 10-3, led by Weber, captain Adam Bush, and junior Matt Shell with 2 hits apiece. Snyder had 2 of the 3 hits for the Wolverines. Senior Ben Princic started on the bump for the Bombers, going 4 scoreless innings, yielding 2 hits, for his first win of the season. Mazzurco started for West Geauga, and picked up the loss. Kenston improves to 2-4 and 1-0 in CVC play, while West Geauga drops to 1-9 on the season, and 0-3 in CVC action. The two teams play again on April 14th.
