TODAY: Pre-registration for AP Exams will be held for Juniors on Monday, April 20th during homeroom in the Auditorium. Be sure to bring a #2 pencil with you.

SENIORS. Don’t forget to turn in any outstanding community service hours you may have completed during your high school career. Make sure it’s on the new form with the location you volunteered for noted, the supervisor’s name and contact information and signature.Bring to Guidance by Friday, April 24. Those who have accumulated over 60 hours will receive a community service award at the senior awards assembly and an honors cord to wear at graduation. The award will be listed on your transcript and in the commencement program.

SENIORS! The Senior Project list is posted on the Guidance window. Please check the list for your name and details. If you are going on Mentorship and don’t see your name listed, see Mrs. Hanzak immediately. That means we have not received ANY paperwork to date and you are not approved for Mentorship.
Also, interim grades ended Friday, April 17. Grades will be posted by April 22. Those grades will determine eligibility for your senior project.

Prom King and Queen Elections will be held during the lunch blocks on Wednesday, April 22nd.

TODAY: Get your tickets for PROM!   It will be held at the Signature of Solon on Saturday, May 2. Tickets are $55 each and will be on sale during the lunch block beginning Monday, April 20, and concluding Friday, April 24. Guest forms need to be completed and approved before you can purchase a ticket. Sign-ups for table seating will also be available.

TUESDAY: Principal’s Leadership Council meeting. Same time, same place.

WEDNESDAY: Attention all Juniors and Seniors: After Prom invitations will be handed out during lunch on Wednesday, April 22 and Thursday, April 23. Please stop by our table and pick up your invitation and see what the theme is this year.

Tickets will be on sale for after prom Monday-Friday, the week of the 27th. TICKETS $20

NEXT WEEK: Attention all Seniors. There will be a meeting a in the auditorium on Monday, April 27 during HR. All seniors must attend for graduation and mentorship information. Auburn Career seniors must also attend this meeting.

On Tuesday, April 28 the senior field trip “Your Life Your Choice” will take place at Parkside. All senior students will report to the cafeteria after 2nd block. Upon return, about 12:30 PM, students will have lunch and then report to the senior assembly in the auditorium. Please dress appropriately for the occasion. Do not wear t-shirts or sweat shirts.

Log on now to register at www.collegefairsonline.com and click on the students tab BEFORE the fair begins. Any time during April 20-25 you can log on and get information from many colleges. There will be a question and answer session at each booth from college reps.

Golden Living Center in Kirtland offers a FREE 11-day State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) class with hands-on practice and testing all on site. Once you complete the course and successfully pass the Ohio STNA test, Golden Living has a job for you.

*Attention Writers! The Geauga Park District 20th annual NATURE WRITING CONTEST is underway: deadline is Monday, May 11. The contest accepts poetry and prose entries in three age groups: 11 and under, 12-17 and 18 and over. There are cash prizes and Chapbooks for the winners. *Creative Artists Association Annual Portfolio Competition SCHOLARSHIP is available for any student planning in majoring in art education at college or an art school. Portfolios must be DROPPED off at Wildwood Cultural Center in Mentor from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 20 through NOON on April 24. CDs may be mailed or delivered to arrive no later than April 23. Paper applications are in Guidance.
