Kenston erupted for 6-runs in the bottom half of the 3rd inning, led by a 2-run double by senior captain Jimmy Artale, leading the Bombers to a 11-3 victory over Chagrin Falls at Kenston HS Varsity Field. Kenston pounded out 12 hits, including 4 hits by Artale, while senior Sam Obringer, junior Barrett Weber, and freshman Matthew Pecoraro had 2 hits apiece; Chagrin Falls had 6 hits, led by senior Bryant Kennedy’s 2 hits. Artale also drove in 4-runs and Weber 2 for Kenston. Junior Chad Lindner started on the bump for the Bombers, going 5 innings, to pick up his 2nd win of the year. Drew Baker started on the hill for Chagrin Falls, who did not make it out of the 3rd inning, and picked up his 1st loss of the year. With the win, Kenston splits the season series with Chagrin Falls, and wins the last game played between the 2 programs as members of the CVC. Kenston improves to 8-7 overall and 5-3 in CVC play, while Chagrin Falls drops to 13-7 on the season and 5-3 in CVC action.
