Kenston freshman Mathew Pecoraro started on the hill, pitched 4 scoreless innings, yielding 1-hit, with 4 strikeouts, leading the Bombers to a 5-2 victory over Kirtland in a CVC cross-over game at Kirtland HS field. Kenston senior captain Jimmy Artale stayed hot, going 2-3, with a double, RBI, and 2 runs scored. Palmer Capretta was 2-2 with a double for Kirtland. Pecoraro picked up his first win of the year for the Bombers, while Hornets starter Anthony Fortuna picked up the loss. Kenston improves to 9-7 on the season, while Kirtland drops to 12-7 for the year.
