Kenston Computer Coding Club: Attention members and other students interested! Please get in touch with Mr. Mason regarding the best day of the week to hold our meetings. Unless there is a preference to the contrary, we will be leaning towards Thursday afternoons. Last year’s AP Computer Science students are especially encouraged to attend; our final project is nearly completed! Hope to see everyone soon!

COLLEGE VISITS HERE @ KENSTON: Attention seniors and juniors. Admission representatives from various colleges, both public and private, in and out of state, visit our school during the day to meet with interested students. Please check the college visit appointments on the Guidance bulletin board and our website for updates daily.
* Our first visit is planned for Friday, Sept. 11 at 8:00 AM with a rep from Ohio University in Athens. Sign up in Guidance and you will receive a pass to get out of class for the visit.
* The second visit planned is Thursday, Sept. 17 with the University of Mount Union at 9:00 AM.
Please choose the ones you are really interested in learning more about so you don’t miss much classroom time.

SPRING BREAK: Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors who have taken or will take French 3 this year, there are a few places left on the Martinique trip over spring break. If you are interested in going, please see Mrs. Wahl in room C-217 ASAP.

Attention sophomores and juniors! Did you know that the PSAT is a brand new/revised exam for this October? Did you also know that the SAT will look completely different starting in the spring? This is why you should take the new PSAT/SAT course offered by Kenston Community Education and taught by Mr. Koltas and Mr. Marchesi. The course is the best and most affordable approach to preparing for both exams, while offering a detailed approach for success. Class begins September 8th in the KHS library with two sections being offered. Registration is available in guidance, A119, and online through KCE. Don’t delay! Sign-up today before space runs out!

ALL STUDENTS: Turn in all required paperwork immediately to homeroom teachers, main office or Guidance. The deadline for Census Verification forms is next Friday, Aug. 28th.

Any student who had Mrs. Leone last semester and wants their journal needs to come pick it up ASAP. All journals left after September 1st will be recycled.

How would you like to be part of an underground sports ring? Well, with Kenston bocce club now you can be. Our season begins Friday, September 11th. Register with KCE A.S.A.P. or see Mr. Segulin in Room B123 if you have any questions.

Do you wanna be part of the most unique club at Kenston? Then add some balance to your life by signing up to be part of the Kenston Unicycle Club. Classes begin Thursday, September 10th. Register with KCE A.S.A.P. or see Mr. Segulin in Room B123.

ACTIVITY PASSES: Student, adult, and family activity passes are on sale for the 2015-2016 school year. Forms are available on the KHS Athletics Page. Prices remain the same: student passes are $50, adult passes are $75, and family passes, which include 2 students and 2 adults, are $200. Turn in forms, payment, and photo IDs any day this week between 10 AM and 3 PM to the Athletic Office.

SCHOOL PICTURES / ID: Any student who did not get their picture taken for the school and ID card can have it taken during school on Wednesday, Aug. 26th from 10-1pm

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY: NHS selection packets are due Friday, Aug. 28 at the Guidance Office. All current juniors and seniors with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher qualify for the selection packet. See Guidance if you did not receive one

Looking for Volunteer Hours? The Musical Arts Association of Kenston (MAAK) is looking for volunteers to help in the concession stands during all fall sports. If you are interested, contact Mrs. Zadesky at Lzadeskey@roadrunner.com.
