TODAY: NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY: NHS selection packets are due Friday, Aug. 28 at the Guidance Office. All current juniors and seniors with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher qualify for the selection packet. See Guidance if you did not receive one

TODAY: Business Club application deadline has been extended to Friday August 28. Any interested students can pick up an application in Room C223. Please hand in completed applications to Mr. Kepreos in Room C223.

Need volunteer hours? The Holden Arboretum is looking for Great Guys and Ghouls!! Volunteers are needed Saturday and Sunday, October 3 & 4 from 9 am-1 pm or 12:30-4:15 pm. Applications and permission forms are available in the Guidance Office.

Attention all students in grades 9-12 interested in BOWLING this season: There will be an open bowl at Freeway Lanes in Solon on Saturday, September 5th from 9:00-11:00 AM. Cost is $1.50 per game.

Big Brothers Big Sisters will be in the cafeteria on Tuesday, September 1st for any students looking for volunteer hours and like working with the elementary or middle school students at Kenston.

Kenston Computer Coding Club: Attention members and other students interested! Please get in touch with Mr. Mason regarding the best day of the week to hold our meetings. Unless there is a preference to the contrary, we will be leaning towards Thursday afternoons. Last year’s AP Computer Science students are especially encouraged to attend; our final project is nearly completed! Hope to see everyone soon!

COLLEGE VISITS HERE @ KENSTON: Attention seniors and juniors. Admission representatives from various colleges, both public and private, in and out of state, visit our school during the day to meet with interested students. Please check the college visit appointments on the Guidance bulletin board and our website for updates daily.
* Our first visit is planned from Ohio University in Athens for Friday, Sept. 11 at 8:00 AM with a rep. Sign up in Guidance and you will receive a pass to get out of class for the visit.
* Case Western Reserve: Sept. 15 at 1 p.m.
* University of Mount Union: Thursday, Sept. 17 at 9:00 AM.
Please choose the ones you are really interested in learning more about so you don’t miss much classroom time.

SPRING BREAK: Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors who have taken or will take French 3 this year, there are a few places left on the Martinique trip over spring break. If you are interested in going, please see Mrs. Wahl in room C-217 ASAP.

WEIGHT ROOM: Morning Open weight Room will start Monday August 31st from 6am until 7am. It will be open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Have a good day.

Attention sophomores and juniors! Did you know that the PSAT is a brand new/revised exam for this October? Did you also know that the SAT will look completely different starting in the spring? This is why you should take the new PSAT/SAT course offered by Kenston Community Education and taught by Mr. Koltas and Mr. Marchesi. The course is the best and most affordable approach to preparing for both exams, while offering a detailed approach for success. Class begins September 8th in the KHS library with two sections being offered. Registration is available in guidance, A119, and online through KCE. Don’t delay! Sign-up today before space runs out!

Athletics is looking for students to help at freshmen volleyball games, freshmen football games, and JV football games. Students able to commit to helping for the full season will receive 10 community service hours as well as a FREE activity pass for the 2015-2016 school year.
