TODAY: Applicants for the Business Club are asked to sign up for an interview spot in Room C223 today. The interviews will be conducted on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 8-9, after school from 2:30 to 5:00.

TODAY: There is a CEC meeting today during homeroom in the English Computer Lab! We will be voting on Officer positions. We hope to see you there!

TODAY: GIRLS BASKETBALL PLAYERS: There will be a meeting for all girls basketball players this Wednesday during homeroom with Coach Hinkle. If you are planning on playing this year, you need to be at this meeting!!

Kenton’s Tailgate Mania is upon us! This Friday, put on your Blue Bomber Nation t-shirt, grab a hotdog meal for $5 and help cheer on our Bombers! What? You don’t have a Blue Bomber Nation t-shirt???? Well, you’re in luck as the entire Spirit Pack of t-shirts will be available in the cafeteria during lunch TOMORROW, Thursday, Sept. 3rd. They’re 3 for $30 or $12 each.
Wear your Bomber Blue on Saturday too to support our cross country teams as we host the Gibas Invitational Saturday morning at8:30 AND the soccer teams vs. Riverside High School Saturday afternoon. Get “All In Kenston!”

Attention all student drivers. Please make sure you have your parking permit displayed in your vehicle. We will continue to check the student parking lot over the next two weeks. Students without a permit will be assigned a Saturday Detention.

KENSTON CENTER STAGE: Attention students interested in being a part of Kenston Center Stage this year! Information regarding our kick-off meeting and auditions for the Fall play has been posted on the KCS homepage under Extra-Curriculars. Visit our site for more information.

GUIDANCE: College visit updates. Please check the college visitation schedule on the Guidance page of the Kenston website. New visits are being scheduled daily.
Ohio Northern University – Sept. 9 at 12:15 p.m.
Ohio University – Sept. 11 – 8:00 a.m.
Case Western Reserve – Sept. 15 – 1:00 p.m.
Mount Union – Sept. 17 – 9:00 a.m.

Over 30 colleges have already made appointments. If you are interested in learning more about the college, sign up in Guidance. You will receive a pass the morning of the visit.

ACTIVITY PASSES: Student, adult, and family activity passes are available for purchase in athletics. Remember that passes are good for admission to ALL home athletic events. Forms and payment information are available on the Kenston Athletics webpage.

Attention all sports fans! Starting this year, the spirit theme for the week will apply to ALL sports events during that week. This week we host girls soccer, football, cross country, boys soccer, and tennis on campus. Show up in your Bomber Blue as often as possible!
For Friday’s football game, presale tickets will be available for the reduced rate of $4 on Thursday during lunch blocks. Remember that we don’t have school Friday, so this will be your only chance! All tickets at the gate are $6.

SATURDAY: Attention all students in grades 9-12 interested in BOWLING this season: There will be an open bowl at Freeway Lanes in Solon on Saturday, September 5th from 9:00-11:00 AM. Cost is $1.50 per game.

Any junior or senior considering a career as a physician, pharmacist or dentist is invited to attend an open house at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine at 1 p.m. Sept. 26. Parents and students will learn about the early acceptance program and opportunities available at LECOM. For more information, see Guidance.

Need volunteer hours? The Holden Arboretum is looking for Great Guys and Ghouls!! Volunteers are needed Saturday and Sunday, October 3 & 4 from 9 am-1 pm or 12:30-4:15 pm. Applications and permission forms are available in the Guidance Office.

Attention senior girls. The Distinguished Young Women National Scholarship application is available and deadline is Oct. 2, 2015. More details are available in Guidance. Visit www.distinguishedyw.org for application and information.

Kenston Computer Coding Club: Attention members and other students interested! Please get in touch with Mr. Mason regarding the best day of the week to hold our meetings. Unless there is a preference to the contrary, we will be leaning towards Thursday afternoons. Last year’s AP Computer Science students are especially encouraged to attend; our final project is nearly completed! Hope to see everyone soon!
