Join the Envirothon Club Today!

Are you looking to get more involved in school activities?  Do you want to expand your social circle and meet new people?  Are you interested in taking a new leadership role?  Does the environment or environmental protection interest you?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, then Envirothon is a great place to start!  The Envirothon Club is focused on raising awareness for environmental issues and creating strong student leaders to educate others about the environment.  Envirothon organizes and attends several events each year.  These include recycling during homeroom, an Envirothon competition, car wash fundraisers, a 5k, recycling crafts with elementary kids, Homecoming float-building, and much more.  As Grace Adams says, “We do many activities like car washes and electronic recycling that make helping the environment fun!”  For several projects, service hours are available.  While many events are optional, you won’t want to miss out!  As senior Dana Kapcio says, “Envirothon is a great club to meet a ton of new people and make new friends.  I had so much fun at the carwash!”

This year, many of the dedicated seniors who lead the Envirothon club will be leaving for college.  New members must step up to help run the Envirothon Club in future years.  If you are interested in joining the Envirothon club, you can contact Mrs. Moone or one of the Envirothon officers: Annie Rizzo, Sarah Highlander, Lauren Whiteford, Grace Adams, Dana Kapcio, Kristina Croucher, or Betsy Ortner.

This club is a fun way to get involved, and it will allow you to meet new people who share similar interests.  Beyond that, Envirothon events are all about protecting the world we live in and helping out the community.  We hope to see you at the next Envirothon meeting!
