I have been selected to grade the AP Statistics exam since 2011 by the College Board.

What year did you start teaching and where?: Kenston 1988
Why did you become a teacher?: I became a teacher because of a story that Tony Campolo presented at a Campus Crusade for Christ event about a student named Teddy Stoddard and the teacher who made a life changing impact on his life. Many years later I discovered that this is a fictional story that has been circulating for a long time.

Why did you choose your discipline?:

I have always enjoyed math and computer science. My original career goal was to become a systems analyst.

My husband is a math and statistics teacher at Hudson High School

My daughter recently graduated with a major in mathematics and is a certified secondary education mathematics teacher.

My son attends Miami University at Oxford OH and is majoring in mathematics/statistics and computer science.

What hobbies / interests do you have?: Reading, gardening, knitting, boating, hiking, camping, watching movies, spending time with my family.
What is your favorite food?: Rhubarb Pie
What is your favorite Movie or TV show?: Numb3rs
What is your favorite book?: The Chronicles of Narnia (series) by C. S. Lewis
Where is your favorite place to travel?: any Oceans and any mountains
What is your favorite quote?: Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened. Dr. Seuss
