Education [high school / college(s) / degree(s)]: Masters in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College (2004); BSED from Ohio University(1993) and Cardinal High School (1989)
What year did you start teaching and where?: I started teaching at Kenston in the fall of 1994. I was 1/2 time middle school and 1/2 time High School. The following year a full time position at the High School opened up and I jumped on it. I started my career teaching Government and American History. Today I am teaching AP American Government and have been since 2002.
What year did you start at Kenston?: 1994
Why did you become a teacher?: I had family friends who were teachers and I had an amazing American History teacher. Plus my government teacher was awful and I knew I could be a much better teacher than he was:)
Why did you choose your discipline?: I love 20th Century American History and American Government. My political science classes in college were very inspiring and I think government is the most important class to take because it rules your life. You need to know your rights.

What is your favorite food?: My husband cooks the best lamb and salmon.
What is your favorite Movie or TV show?: Too many to choose from…but Cinderella Man, Forrest Gump and Gladiator
What is your favorite book?: Glass Castle and recently Hillbilly Elegy
Where is your favorite place to travel?: Italy and Europe
