Why did you become a teacher?: I really enjoy helping people to learn interesting topics and to find a passion for science.
Why did you choose your discipline?: My middle school biology teacher and my high school physics teacher were my greatest cheerleaders and my most interesting instructors. Also, my grandfather was a chemist and he sparked my interest in science topics.
What hobbies / interests do you have?: I like to read, when time permits. I also like to spend time with my family hiking, biking, and exploring new places, especially amusement parks.
What is your favorite food?: I can’t pass up chips, salsa, and queso.
What is your favorite Movie or TV show?: I am a huge Big Bang Theory fan.
What is your favorite book?: The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Alboom or The Last Lecture by Jeffrey Zaslow
