Students in these classes will receive a testing ticket listing their test time and testing location prior to the scheduled exam. The Freshmen Class will be selling raffle tickets for prizes today, May 1st through Friday, May 4th in the cafeteria. Raffle Tickets only cost a dollar! The winning tickets will be drawn next week (May 7th-11th), one lucky winner each day. You can win gift cards to Chipotle, Target, Dicks sporting Goods, Starbucks, and Panera.

AFTERPROM 2018—TICKETS GO ON SALE THIS WEEK:
AfterProm Tickets go on sale the week of Monday, April 30th thru Friday, May 4th during lunches. Tickets are $20 cash or checks (made out to “KHS After Prom”). Seniors, sign up to have your name pulled in a drawing for the Hypnotist!
Kenston Seniors & Juniors and their prom dates can attend Afterprom at Kenston High School on Saturday, May 5th from 11 PM to 3:30 AM. Underclassmen, alumni & guests must attend Prom in order to attend AfterProm. However, Kenston Seniors & Juniors are welcome and do not have to attend Prom in order to attend AfterProm. Casual attire. Leave all bags at home. You must arrive by midnight and you must stay until 3:30 AM. No outside beverages or water bottles allowed inside. Added security will be provided for your safety. Students will be breathalyzed as needed. Juniors and Seniors received their AfterProm invitation during homeroom on Wednesday 4/25.

Junior and Senior Gentlemen who ordered their tuxedo on Thursday, April 12th here at high school can pick up their tuxedo orders at the end of the day on Wednesday, May 2nd .

Seniors, you will vote for Prom King and Queen during homeroom on Wednesday, May 2nd.

Tickets will go on sale during all lunch blocks the week of April 23rd and will cost $60.00 per ticket. Checks ONLY please (made out to “KBOE”). Permission forms are required for all guests who are not Kenston High School students at both the Prom and Afterprom. The 2018 Prom will be held from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. May 5, 2018 at Embassy Suites in Independence and is open to all juniors and seniors and their guests. Afterprom will be held at the high school from 11:00pm – 3:30am (students must arrive by midnight in order to attend Afterprom).
MENU OPTIONS: If you need a Gluten Free/Vegan option at Prom, please indicate when you purchase your ticket. (Napoleon Vegetables—Roasted Peppers, Zucchini, Squash and Seasonal Vegetables on Portobello Mushrooms.) This will NOT be at the buffet, but will be prepared in a separate area, plated and brought to your table.
PICTURES: Every Prom ticket holder will receive a complimentary photo in a frame. It is the responsibility of the students to get their picture taken at Prom. The Photographer will be located at the front entrance. (Only 1 picture per guest)
ATTENTION SENIORS! These Announcements Are For You!
- Check out the homepage on the right side for the “Senior Meeting” slides to keep yourself organized on all your upcoming events.
- MENTORSHIP—Your last day at KHS is Friday, May 4th. The Senior Project Mentorship application list has been posted on the Guidance window. Please stop and check the list, if you’ve submitted a proposal to go on Mentorship, make sure you’re on the list. If you’re not, see Mrs. Hanzak in Guidance right away. Interim grades will determine final eligibility on April 20th. Any senior failing any course on April 20th will not be permitted to go on Mentorship. All outstanding school fees and fines must be paid and any sports/school equipment or books must be returned by April 27th in order to participate in mentorship! Turn in fees to the Main or Guidance Office as soon as possible!
- Exit Interview Time Schedule for Monday, May 21. It’s mostly alphabetical. Check your time. If you absolutely cannot make the time slot you are scheduled for, try to change with someone else. Make sure you notify Mrs. Hanzak immediately. You will be reminded of this appointment time.
- Graduation honors and Honors Diploma Recipients are posted on the Guidance window. Please check the lists and if you feel you deserve this honor but do not see your name, see your counselor immediately.
- Seniors who ordered GRADUATION ITEMS, such as announcements, mugs, t-shirts, etc. can pick them up on Friday, April 13th during all lunch blocks in the cafeteria. Stop by the Jostens table by the auditorium.
This DOES NOT INCLUDE CAPS AND GOWNS. Caps and gowns will be distributed after rehearsal the morning of Graduation on Tuesday, May 22nd.

2018 Camp Canopy runs June 10-15 at Camp Muskingum near Carrollton. This co-ed residential camp is open to all high school students to learn more about Ohio’s forests, wildlife, conservation, tree identification, ecology and more. Geauga Park District hosts a Nature Writing Contest with prizes of $50, $25 and $15 for teens. Look for the “Bomber Hangar” sandwich board sign outside those doors!
If you’re not able to visit The Bomber Hangar’s retail store, you can still shop through our SPRING ORDER FORM, featuring brand new items and a few great basics!
