Kenston Football vs. West Geauga

On September 7th, 2018 the Kenston Bombers went up against the West Geauga Wolverines for some Friday night football. Kenston went into the game with a 2-0 record hoping to move it to a 3-0 record. The Wolverines were 1-1 with their only win against Chardon High School. The powerful Bombers persevered and dominated on both sides of the ball. One of the goals for the beginning of the game was to establish themselves from the start, and they did that.

The offense drove on the Wolverine defense all night long. At halftime the offense had made 19 first downs and 351 total yard. Jon Tomcufcik was 16 of 25 on passing for the night.

The defense did a great job covering the pass and especially the run. On defense they held the Wolverines to 7 yards rushing. The Bombers also forced the Wolverines to punt 7 times.

Overall, Kenston had a really good night, and will be preparing for Eastlake North in their 4th game of the season.

Harris Skaramagas said, “ It was a great game to watch against West Geauga, and I hope for the same results against Eastlake North.”
