This past Monday, September 17, at Brush’s Korb Field, the Kenston Bombers varsity soccer team took down the Brush Arcs in one-sided 4-0 game. The Bombers’ record improves to 5-4-1, now 3-0-0 in their conference. With this win Kenston remains undefeated in conference games, and 1st place in the entire WRC. In the second half the Bombers cranked up the intensity scoring three goals, two of which were in the last ten minutes. The half opened up with an excellent cross by Shindika, setting up a great goal by Donny Maynard (#19). The third goal of the game was scored again by Maynard with a nice shot from thirty yards out. Ryan Tien (#13) put the match away with a nice shot coming from an assist by Aidan Zak (#11).
Several players were pleased with Kenston’s performance as a team, specifically junior midfielder Donny Maynard (#19), who had a few things to say after Monday night’s game.
