Kenston Bombers Wrestling Camp

Calling all Kenston Grapplers! Get ready for the Kenston Bombers Wrestling Clinic with collegiate wrestlers, Joey Mckenna and Myles Martin, this Sunday!  Open to all K-6th and 7th -12th grade wrestlers, this camp will take place in both the aux gym and the main gym of Kenston High School. Session One will be from Noon-2pm, followed by a lunch break and Session Two from 3-5pm.  Sign ups are through KCE.

Joey Mckenna is currently a senior at Ohio State University, and spent his first two collegiate years competing and studying at Stanford University.  This 141-pound wrestler has earned himself the title of an All-American twice, among other awards, including but not limited to, Big Ten Champion (2018), Pac-12 Champion (2016, 2017), and U.S. Open Champion (2018).  His highly qualified credentials and career experience are sure to inspire Kenston’s young wrestlers.

Mckenna will be joined by senior and fellow Ohio State teammate, Myles Martin.  Martin is currently wrestling at 184 pounds and has his own extensive list of career honors.  He is a three-time All-American (2016,17,18), and a NCAA Champion (174lbs. 2016). Prior to his Ohio State career, Myles Martin was ranked number one in the country by various outlets at 182 pounds.  He will truly bring value and extensive knowledge to this camp and to our wrestling program.

The Kenston Wrestlers are looking forward to meeting these amazing athletes and obtaining valuable skills from them. Junior wrestler, Frank Dimarco, said, “It is a great opportunity to learn from the best!” Not only are the students excited, but the coaches are thrilled to have these camp technicians as another resource to help their team grow and improve.  Assistant Coach, Mike Triscaro, said, “To me, it’s once in a lifetime to learn from two wrestlers with this type of caliber. On one end you have a national champion in Myles Martin, and a guy knocking at that doorstep in Joey Mckenna. Joey was one win away from making the Senior World Team! These two guys are among the best in college wrestling. I wouldn’t miss this opportunity!”  Updates on this event to follow.
