The 6th Annual Chagrin Documentary Film Fest 5K

By Allison Kosinski

The 6th Annual Chagrin Documentary Film Fest 5K is on Sunday, Sept. 30 beginning at the Chagrin Falls football stadium at 9 am. Funds raised by the race will be used to help support families with terminally ill children.

One hundred percent of the proceeds raised are used to assist families and services for those who are facing a severe illness of a child, with the help of LifExtrordinary, a nonprofit organization that provides an online platform to communicate, coordinate support, and raise funds.

LifExtrordinary began after a local family’s new born son was in remission after fighting a rare form of leukemia.

Ashton Hunt, the daughter of the head of the foundation said, “I’m grateful to have so many people participating to support my parent’s foundation. I’m excited for everyone to come out and run for a worthwhile cause.”

Anyone Interested in running in the race can pick up a form in the guidance or main office or you can register by visiting the race’s website.

On race day you can sign up at the Chagrin Falls High School start line opening at 8 am.
