Fall Festivities

October has begun and fall is approaching. With this change of the season comes your traditional activities. Living in Ohio, we all experience fall and these activities. From corn mazes, to playing in leaf piles, to drinking hot apple cider. There are a lot of different places and things to do near us that will get you into the fall spirit even more.

Patterson’s Fruit Farm in Chesterland, Ohio, for example, provides a collection of fall snacks, an opportunity to pick your own apples, hayrides, school tours, and Fun Fest. The Fun Fest is filled with all kinds of fun fall activities like pony rides, corn maze, pumpkin painting, a slide through nature, and much more. Check out their website for more information.

There are a lot of corn mazes near us, as well. One is Derthick’s Corn Maze in Mantua, Ohio. This consists of 17 acres, 3 mazes, ziplines, a market, and tons of other fall activities for the whole family. Visit their website for additional knowledge.

With fall comes Halloween, too. There are a lot of haunted houses near us with all different fear levels. One of the many haunted houses are Fortress of Fear ScreamPark in Garrettsville, Ohio. This place is open Fridays and Saturdays from 8-11 p.m. October 28th and 30th, also. Check out their website, as well.

Here are some of Kenston’s students’ and faculty’s favorite fall festivities:
