Boy’s Soccer Senior Night

Kenston Boy’s Soccer beat Riverside 2-0 to improve their overall record to 7-5-1. Their Western Reserve Conference record is now 4-1 securing them in 1st place ahead of Mayfield. Before the game started, Kenston’s seniors walked out onto the field with their parents for senior night as this was Kenston’s final home game of the season. The starting lineup consisted of all 11 seniors for Kenston. The game was very competitive to start out until Kenston midfielder Donovan Maynard (#19) scored the only two goals of the game. Kenston quickly took control of the game after their first goal and never looked back. They allowed very few shots throughout the game and shutdown Riverside’s offense. In the final minutes of the game, all 11 seniors were subbed out simultaneously so the crowd can clap them all off together.

Kenston defender Kyle Quinlan (#21) had some comments about the game:

How do you think the seniors played together when they were all in?

The seniors were so good, they were so connected, they worked together better than cereal with no milk.

What was your favorite moment of the game?

My favorite moment was when Ryan Lindecke (#5) came off the field for the last time at home and we repeatedly bumped chests.

Kenston’s next game is at Nordonia on October 4th, at 7:00. Hopefully they can finish off their season strong in their last three games.Boy's Soccer Senior Night
