At the far end of Bomber Stadium in Kenston hangs a sign that reads, “The chase is on.”
The sign refers to the Bombers’ journey for a Western Reserve Conference championship and the Division III playoff berth that likely comes along with it.
It might as well be fair warning to any team coming to town to face Coach Jeff Grubich’s high-flying offense, letting them know they might be playing catch-up all night long.
Jon Tomcufcik threw three touchdowns and running back Jack Porter hit paydirt three times on the ground, giving Kenston a 42-14 win over Riverside in a battle of the last two teams in the WRC with undefeated league records.
