After a large amount of flooding at the National Trail Raceway in Hebron, the meet was postponed for the first time in the its history. This is unprecedented in terms of a state meet, as cross country meets are rarely postponed, let alone states. Usually, even with severe flooding, they still hold meets as the sport can be run through any weather. Earlier this year, there was a meet with shin deep water, but it was still held. This just shows how out of the ordinary it is for a cross country meet to be postponed.
The boys team qualified for the state meet for the third year in a row, and this year was by the closest margin. The boys team made it by just 2 points over Solon. The girls team missed qualifying, but Ellie Pleune made it as an individual.
Expect great things out of the state runners!
