Baseball: Kenston 3 ~ Eastlake North 2

Kenston starter junior Tyler Yurkovich went 5 strong innings, yielding just 3 hits, 1 walk, and 1 earned run, leading the Bombers to a hard fought 3-2 victory over Eastlake North in league action at Kenston Varsity Field. Bomber junior captain Tyler Mintz relieved Yurkovich in the top half of the 6th and closed out the game to earn his first save of the year. Eastlake starter Beckman picked-up the loss. Kenston out-hit North 7-4, with Yurkovich leading the way with 2 hits, a triple and a double. With the win, the Bombers split the season series again North. Kenston improves to 8-10 overall and 5-5 in WRC action, while North drops to 10-10 and 5-5 in league play.
