Kenston swept the team titles on its home course for the first time in meet history at the Frank Gibas Invitational Aug. 31.

The boys team placed all seven of its runners in the top 20 to notch 61 points, well ahead of runner-up University’s 109. David Rosinski led the pack with a personal-best time of 16 minutes, 18 seconds to finish fifth.

Jack Turk (16:35) was 10th, Garrett McConnell (16:43) took 13th, Tyler McMahan (16:49) placed 16th and Dennis Princic (16:50) was 17th to round out the Bombers’ scoring five.

“Our boys were a tight pack focused on pushing each other,” coach Chris Ickes said. “Seven boys were under 16:56 or better and our eighth man was at 17:04. Jack Turk made huge strides forward.”
