Today we are on a modified Assembly Schedule for our first pep rally! Students and Staff will be dismissed at 1:25 and will go directly to the Main Gym.
• You are to take your book bags and belongings to Block 4.
• Leave your book bags and belongings in the Cafeteria before entering the Main Gym.
• You will be dismissed at the conclusion of the Assembly.

Are you ready for some football!!!!! Tonight is a big night for Kenston Football as our first Home game of the season kicks off. Don’t feel like standing in the long ticket line? Get a jump ahead by purchasing your tickets TODAY from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm in the ATHLETIC OFFICE, just around the corner from the cafeteria. Don’t forget it’s Spirit Day! Wear red white and blue to the game as we honor and support our local first responders at the game!!! Don’t forget your perishable goods donation!!!!

A reminder that the Hub is open for anyone afterschool to get a head start on homework and studying. This also applies to anyone who needs extra help or tutoring through Kenston Academy. Times are Monday-Thursday from 2:20-3:20. No need to sign up, just come in!

If you are interested in going on the 2020 summer Kenston Field Experience please plan on attending an informational meeting on Thursday, September 19 at 7:00 p.m. in the AB Room. If you have questions or can’t attend the meeting, please see Mr. Turk in room B129

The Math Club will meet Monday 9/9 during Homeroom in C138. Stop by and enjoy some puzzlers and conundrums.

Are you good at persuading your parents, arguing your way out of a situation, or love acting but didn’t get into the Kenston productions? Then you should join Speech and Debate!! Come to our info meeting Friday, September 13th right after school in the Lower A computer lab.

Picture Make-up Day: Tuesday, September 24th in the Band Room.

Senior Yearbook Photo: All seniors should plan to take advantage of the FREE session for Senior Picture for the Yearbook on Tuesday, Sept. 24th (10–1:00 PM, Band Room). Ripcho will be here to take a complimentary, professional picture—sorry, you cannot purchase this picture, it is for the yearbook only. Senior portrait specifications for other Photographers: Size—no less than 300 dpi. Pose—only traditional full color portrait, head and shoulders only. Background—must be on the spectrum from cobalt to navy blue (no light blue). No hats, props, hands or inappropriate clothing. Submit your photograph electronically by email attachment to: justin.fodor@kenstonapps.org or on a CD. Under no circumstances will a senior portrait be scanned from a print. GUIDANCE NEWS:

Any students interested in doing some volunteer tutoring with the Young Scholars program though Chagrin Falls Park please pick up an application in guidance. You can earn service hours working with this program as well.

Seniors – VFW Chagrin Falls Post is offering an essay contest with a $1,000 prize for first and two $500 honorable mention awards. Essays of 500 words or less on “What Does Veterans Day Mean to Me?” See Guidance for more information.

New Standardized Test Prep for SAT/ACT/PSAT for grades 10-12 is being offered by Mr. Marchesi and Mr. Koltas through Kenston Community Education. Classes begin Monday, September 9th and are held every Monday through October 14th from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm in the KHS Hub. Registration forms are available in the Guidance Office.

LOST & FOUND ITEMS: Please stop by the Main Office if you have lost something or if you have found something that someone has lost. Our drawers already have things from this year– jewelry, planner, sweatshirts and more. If you lost something that hasn’t been found yet, fill out a form so we can notify you when it’s found!
