Attention All Freshman: We need you to check your email and/or the school website regarding the sizing information for your Bomber Games T-Shirt. Please do this ASAP! The order needs placed ASAP

Would you like to help keep Kenston a green school? Interested in helping out with recycling during homeroom? Come to the Envirothon meeting in homeroom today in B130 for more information.

The Math Club will meet Monday 9/9 during Homeroom in C138. Stop by and enjoy some puzzlers and conundrums.

Attention anyone interested in playing softball this year. There will be a player/parent meeting on Monday September 16th at 7 pm in the Auburn-Bainbridge room. If you are unable to attend, see Coach Dubovec in room C219 for information.

Attention: Junior and Senior Kenston Connect Leaders: A morning meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 11 at 7:15 in the HUB/KHS Library.

The boys Soccer Team is having a fundraiser at Panini’s from Thursday, September 12th through Sunday, September 15th. 10% of your sale will go back to support the team!

It’s not too early to start thinking about lunch! Today for Lunch – NEW on the menu! Build your own Ramen Bar with Sweet Chili Pork, Teriyaki Chicken, and Vegetarian options with noodles, broths, and lots of fresh toppings!

In partnership with Q104 that was here yesterday, we are collecting perishable goods for the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. Items can be dropped off in the cafeteria or at the gate at Friday’s football game.

A reminder that the Hub is open for anyone afterschool to get a head start on homework and studying. This also applies to anyone who needs extra help or tutoring through Kenston Academy. Times are Monday-Thursday from 2:20-3:20. No need to sign up, just come in!

If you are interested in going on the 2020 summer Kenston Field Experience please plan on attending an informational meeting on Thursday, September 19 at 7:00 p.m. in the AB Room. If you have questions or can’t attend the meeting, please see Mr. Turk in room B129

Are you good at persuading your parents, arguing your way out of a situation, or love acting but didn’t get into the Kenston productions? Then you should join Speech and Debate!! Come to our info meeting Friday, September 13th right after school in the Lower A computer lab.

Picture Make-up Day: Tuesday, September 24th in the Band Room.

Senior Yearbook Photo: All seniors should plan to take advantage of the FREE session for Senior Picture for the Yearbook on Tuesday, Sept. 24th (10–1:00 PM, Band Room). Ripcho will be here to take a complimentary, professional picture—sorry, you cannot purchase this picture, it is for the yearbook only. Senior portrait specifications for other Photographers: Size—no less than 300 dpi. Pose—only traditional full color portrait, head and shoulders only. Background—must be on the spectrum from cobalt to navy blue (no light blue). No hats, props, hands or inappropriate clothing. Submit your photograph electronically by email attachment to: justin.fodor@kenstonapps.org or on a CD. Under no circumstances will a senior portrait be scanned from a print. Any students interested in doing some volunteer tutoring with the Young Scholars program though Chagrin Falls Park please pick up an application in guidance. You can earn service hours working with this program as well.

Seniors – VFW Chagrin Falls Post is offering an essay contest with a $1,000 prize for first and two $500 honorable mention awards. Essays of 500 words or less on “What Does Veterans Day Mean to Me?” See Guidance for more information.

Denison University offers an overnight program “Dialogue with Denison” on November 2-4 for academically qualified students from under-represented populations. Application deadline is October 1. If interested, see Guidance.

LOST & FOUND ITEMS: Please stop by the Main Office if you have lost something or if you have found something that someone has lost. Our drawers already have things from this year– jewelry, planner, sweatshirts and more. If you lost something that hasn’t been found yet, fill out a form so we can notify you when it’s found!
