Kenston has a new Giving Garden Club and needs you to join. Aubrey Taylor and Annikia Markoff are the co-presidents of the Giving Garden Club. Aubrey and Annika, along with a few other friends, have also founded the Kenston Giving Garden outside the science wing. They have been growing various vegetables such as cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, radishes, cauliflower, kale, dill, cilantro, celery, and zucchini. The Garden Club has donated several boxes of produce already to the Burton Congregational Church and Volunteers of America, Aurora. The club members have some potential projects coming up in the next few months, these projects include volunteering at our local Geauga Park District, teaming up with the Geauga County Public Library to install a butterfly garden, invite elementary school students in to learn how to garden, and possibly install a school composting system. If you are interested in joining, stop by Mrs.C. Kramer’s room in C139 for more information.
