Do you want to win the chance to host an extraordinary tailgate party before the Chardon Football game, starring the Kenston Marching Band and Bomberette Dance Team? Purchase a Band on Demand raffle ticket for your chance to WIN and the Kenston band and dance team will perform in your front yard, neighborhood common area or location of your choice. Show your Bomber Pride and invite your friends and neighbors to witness the extravaganza! KHS Marching Band and Bomberette students will be selling raffle tickets through September 30th. Tickets are $5.00 each or 4 for $20.00. Drawing will take place during the football game on October 4th (winner does not need to be present to win). The Band on Demand performance will take place on October 11, 2019. Location must be in the Kenston School District. Proceeds benefit the Musical Arts Association at Kenston.

The Bomber Games begin on Thursday, Sept. 26. This year students from each grade can compete in volleyball, basketball, soccer, and ultimate frisbee. Sign up today by using the Google Form on in your email inbox or the KHS website.
Have you ever dreamed of being a television star? Can you easily recall interesting facts. Why not combine these talents and try out for the Academic Challenge television show. Tryouts will be held this Friday after school in C138. If you can’t make the tryouts but would still like to be considered contact Mr. Koltas this week.

Congressman David Joyce is hosting a Military Academy information day this Saturday, September 21 at 9:30 at the Auburn Career Center Technology Learning Building. Representatives from all five service academies will be present to answer your questions.

Senior Yearbook Photo: All seniors should plan to take advantage of the FREE session for Senior Picture for the Yearbook on Tuesday, Sept. 24th (10–1:00 PM, Band Room). Ripcho will be here to take a complimentary, professional picture—sorry, you cannot purchase this picture, it is only for the yearbook. Senior portrait specifications for other Photographers: Size—no less than 300 dpi. Pose—only traditional full color portrait, head and shoulders only. Background—must be on the spectrum from cobalt to navy blue (no light blue). No hats, props, hands or inappropriate clothing. Submit your photograph electronically by email attachment to: email@example.com or on a CD. Under no circumstances will a senior portrait be scanned from a print. Geauga County voter registration cards are now available in Guidance. To vote in the November 5 General Election, the registration deadline is Monday, October 7 at 9:00 PM. Students 17 years old who will be 18 on or before November 5, 2019, may register to vote.

Seniors – VFW Chagrin Falls Post is offering an essay contest with a $1,000 prize for first and two $500 honorable mention awards. Essays of 500 words or less on “What Does Veterans Day Mean to Me?” See Guidance for more information.
Protect Geauga Parks offers three $1,000 scholarships for those majoring in natural or environmental sciences. Guidelines are available in Guidance. The scholarship requires an essay and 2 letters of recommendation. The deadline 6:00 PM Oct. 6, 2019.
Denison University offers an overnight program “Dialogue with Denison” on November 2-4 for academically qualified students from under-represented populations. Application deadline is October 1. If interested, see Guidance.
