Interview with Rachel Fender

If you want to know what it takes to be a softball player, I interviewed Rachel Fender. Rachel is a sophomore here at Kenston High School. When asked, “Why did you first start playing softball and how old were you?” Rachel said, “Because I thought it was fun and my dad wanted to be my coach when I was 7 years old.” When asked, “If you could achieve any goal in your sport, what would it be?” Rachel said, “To go to college to play softball, preferably Kent State.” Rachel was asked, “If you could meet any athlete, who would it be? What would you want to talk about?” and she responded with, “Jason Kipnis, we would talk about him and what he thinks of his other teammates.” When asked, “How do you prepare for a game mentally?” she said,”Listen to pump me up jams and throw with my favorite throwing partner, Samantha Stefancin.” When asked ,”What do you do to make your teammates better?” she said,”I yell at them and cheer loudly for them to encourage them.” Rachel is a excellent student athlete.
