Jostens will be here this Friday, Oct. 4, to take cap and gown and class ring orders during all lunch blocks in the cafeteria. This is the only in-school order date – after this date, all orders must be placed online. Bring your order form to the Jostens table in the cafeteria. If you are not in school during lunch hours, you can bring your order form to Mrs. Hanzak in Guidance PRIOR to this Friday, Oct. 4. Any questions, see Mrs. Hanzak in Guidance.
Kenston Center Stage is presenting the play Clue. Performances are Saturday, October 12th at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm and Sunday October 13th at 2:00 pm. The 2:00 performance on Saturday is ½ price for all Kenston students! These dates are the corrected dates from what was published in the district calendar.

Join the Kenston Swim & Dive Team! Swim Team tryouts are October 25th @2:45pm at the CVAC pool. Dive team practices start October 25th at Solon High School Natatorium. Senior portrait specifications for other Photographers: Size—no less than 300 dpi. Pose—only traditional full color portrait, head and shoulders only. Background—must be on the spectrum from cobalt to navy blue (no light blue). No hats, props, hands or inappropriate clothing. Submit your photograph electronically by email attachment to: firstname.lastname@example.org or on a CD. Under no circumstances will a senior portrait be scanned from a print. Solon Community Center Aquatics is hiring lifeguards after school and weekends. Applicants must be at least 15 and hold a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate. You may apply without a certification and, if hired, be required to take the certification at no cost through the Solon Community Center. They are hiring staff for summer 2020 now. Any students interested in doing some volunteer tutoring with the Young Scholars program though Chagrin Falls Park please pick up an application in guidance. You can earn service hours working with this program as well.
Seniors – VFW Chagrin Falls Post is offering an essay contest with a $1,000 prize for first and two $500 honorable mention awards. Essays of 500 words or less on “What Does Veterans Day Mean to Me?” See Guidance for more information.
Protect Geauga Parks offers three $1,000 scholarships for those majoring in natural or environmental sciences. Guidelines are available in Guidance. The scholarship requires an essay and 2 letters of recommendation. The deadline 6:00 PM Oct. 6, 2019.
