REMEMBER – There is no school on Wednesday as we celebrate Yom Kippur. Yom Kippur is the holiest day of the Jewish year. It is a day of atonement after the Jewish new year, Rosh Hashanah. On this day, people of the Jewish faith ask God for forgiveness for their sins in order to secure their fate.
On a dark and stormy night, six unique guests, plus a butler and a maid, assemble for a dinner party at the home of Mr. Boddy. When their host turns up dead, it is clear that no one is safe! Soon the guests are racing to find the killer and keep the body count from stacking up. Based on the popular board game and adapted from the cult classic film, Clue is the comedy whodunit that will keep you guessing (and laughing) to the very end. Kenston Center Stage is pleased to present Clue Onstage this Saturday at 2:00 pm, Saturday at 7:00 pm, and Sunday at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $10 each and will be available at the door for all performances. Students attending the Saturday afternoon matinee performance will be admitted for $5 when they present their student ID at the box office.

Background—must be on the spectrum from cobalt to navy blue (no light blue). No hats, props, hands or inappropriate clothing. Solon Community Center Aquatics is hiring lifeguards after school and weekends. Applicants must be at least 15 and hold a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate. You may apply without a certification and, if hired, be required to take the certification at no cost through the Solon Community Center. They are hiring staff for summer 2020 now. Any students interested in doing some volunteer tutoring with the Young Scholars program though Chagrin Falls Park please pick up an application in guidance. You can earn service hours working with this program as well.
Seniors – VFW Chagrin Falls Post is offering an essay contest with a $1,000 prize for first and two $500 honorable mention awards. Essays of 500 words or less on “What Does Veterans Day Mean to Me?” See Guidance for more information.
Protect Geauga Parks offers three $1,000 scholarships for those majoring in natural or environmental sciences. Guidelines are available in Guidance. The scholarship requires an essay and 2 letters of recommendation. The deadline 6:00 PM Oct. 6, 2019.
