Kenston Girls Tennis Season Coming to an End

The Kenston Girls Tennis season is coming to an end quickly.  The top two singles players on the team, Kelsi Currington, and Lily Peelman are competing together as a doubles team at districts.  Districts are being held this Thursday, October 10th at SpringSide Racquet and Fitness Club in Akron Ohio. Kelsi and Lily are well prepared for the competition as they’ve been competing hard all season.

The rest of the team has also competed well this season.  With four teams, Varsity, Varsity B, JV1, and JV2 there are about 45 girls total on the team.  The varsity team placed second in the WRC tournament. All of the ladies competed very well throughout the season.  In an interview with the first singles player, Kelsi Currington, Kelsi said, “This season has been a huge success for all four teams, I have high hopes for next year!”  In addition, we will be saying goodbye to seven seniors this season. These seniors include, Alex Akers, Kayla Eastman, Sophie Kinnett, Isabel Weinhofer, Maddy Blackford, Addison Eging, and Anna Eichelberger.  We are looking forward to our next season and will spend our off season preparing.
