We will be kicking off the breakfast cart this coming Wednesday, October 23rd.

All Juniors and Seniors are asked to take a few moments to complete the Google Form that was sent via your email, or accessible via the school website, regarding how you spent your College & Career Readiness Day yesterday if you did not test.

LOST & FOUND: Items recently lost will be in the main office for one week. After the one week period, items will be moved to the new storage bench located by the concession stand in the cafeteria. Valuable items, money, air pods, etc, will remain in the main office.

Attention Students: A link has been posted on the main page of the website to vote for the 2019/2020 teacher superlatives for next year’s Yearbook! Some examples of what you’ll be voting on:

● Silliest Teacher
● Teacher most likely to win a Rap Battle
● Most Caffeinated Teacher

There will be a meeting for all interested Janus editors today at 2:20 in room A119. If you have any questions, see Mr. Marchesi.

An Envirothon meeting will be held on Monday 10/21 during homeroom in B130. All interested in joining the club are welcome as well!

KHS Mock Trial Informational Meeting today at 2:15 in room A112. Mock Trial is a fun academic competition against other high schools where students portray an attorney or witness. There are no try-outs – all are welcome! Practices are Monday nights at 7:00 p.m.

Join the Kenston High School Choirs on Tuesday evening at 7:00 in the Robert A Lee auditorium as they present their fall concert. Varsity Jazz, Chorale, and Mixed Chorus will be performing music from the Renaissance through Contemporary styles. Admission is FREE.

PACK meeting to be this WEDNESDAY the 23rd in room A210 during homeroom.

The Pulse Writing Club, the high school’s creative writing group will meet on Thursday, October 24, at 2:20 in Ms. Joyce’s room, A113. All creative writers are welcome. See Ms. Joyce if you have any questions.

Please help support Interact by participating in the October Food Drive. Bring any non-perishable items to your first block class, winners will receive free donuts.

A reminder that the Hub is open for anyone afterschool to get a head start on homework and studying. This also applies to anyone who needs extra help or tutoring through Kenston Academy. Times are Monday-Thursday from 2:20-3:20. No need to sign up, just come in!

Senior portrait specifications for other Photographers: Size—no less than 300 dpi. Pose—only traditional full color portrait, head and shoulders only. Background—must be on the spectrum from cobalt to navy blue (no light blue). No hats, props, hands or inappropriate clothing. Submit your photograph electronically by email attachment to: justin.fodor@kenstonapps.org or on a CD. Under no circumstances will a senior portrait be scanned from a print. Solon Community Center Aquatics is hiring lifeguards after school and weekends. Applicants must be at least 15 and hold a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate. You may apply without a certification and, if hired, be required to take the certification at no cost through the Solon Community Center. They are hiring staff for summer 2020 now. See Guidance for more information.

Any students interested in doing some volunteer tutoring with the Young Scholars program though Chagrin Falls Park please pick up an application in guidance. You can earn service hours working with this program as well.

Seniors – VFW Chagrin Falls Post is offering an essay contest with a $1,000 prize for first and two $500 honorable mention awards. Essays of 500 words or less on “What Does Veterans Day Mean to Me?” See Guidance for more information.


Junior and Senior Girls: Jerseys go on sale this week for the annual ladies Bomber Bowl Football Game.

Join the Kenston Swim & Dive Team! Swim Team tryouts are October 25th @2:45pm at the CVAC pool. Dive team practices start October 25th at Solon High School Natatorium. Final Forms must be completed to participate. Divers also need to register with American Flyers Diving. Please contact Coach KC with any questions: kari.collier@kenstonapps.org
