This Saturday, the Kenston Men’s Cross Country team, and Ellie Pleune, will be traveling down to National Trail Raceway in Hebron for the 2019 State Championships. Fresh off of a Regional Championship, the boys will be looking to secure Kenston’s first ever Division 1 State Championship, while Ellie will be looking to improve upon last year’s performance and earn All-Ohio honors. And for the first time ever, there will be a FREE spirit bus for those looking to support the Kenston XC team. For those riding the bus, admission to the meet will be fully paid for, and a lunch will be provided. Admission and lunch will be generously paid for, thanks to sponsorships from local businesses, such as Arborwear, Breezewood Gardens, Cloud Optik, Blaster Corp, and others. Anyone who has nothing going on Saturday should attend, as there is nothing like going to one of the most exciting events and showing school spirit. Cross Country meets are some of the most exciting events in sports, with high excitement throughout the race, adrenaline pumping as the runner fly down the final stretch, the tension in the air as the results are being read off, and the thrill of winning. For those interested in going, signups are during lunch Tuesday and Wednesday, no cost to you! Bus leaves at 8:45 am on Saturday, and will return home after the boys race at 3:00 pm. Be sure to come support your Kenston Bombers and show some school pride as they look to take home the 2019 Division 1 State Championship!!
