Attention Bomber Nation: Hop on the FREE Spirit Bus to the Cross Country State Meet this Saturday at 8:45 am. You get free entry and lunch! Sign up during lunch today!!!

Bomber Bash is A 12-hour event that raises money for kids with life-threatening illnesses. On November 23rd, we will host our 4th annual Bomber Bash from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Throughout the night, we will be having several fun activities including a surf simulator, beach volleyball, hula dancing, limbo and so much more! Come join the fun and sign up on-line NOW!

Hey! Want to win a Fitbit, Airpods, or a bluetooth speaker? All you need to do is take a picture of the 3 Geauga Copeline posters around your school as well as one you find in your community. To be entered, post them on twitter to @GPSEmpowered. (Hint: all say “Geauga Copeline”) AND follow @GPSEmpowered. One you do, you will officially be entered in the contest! Reminders:

● Please remember “no athletic bags” or musical instruments are to be in the vestibule. Please take them to the auditorium storage room.

After Popular Demand and feedback from PEAK ambassadors as well as members from Principal’s Leadership the Good Spirit of Music will be brought back on Friday’s as well certain “themed” days. Remember when you first heard music was during StartWithHelloWeek which supported a kind and positive approach to reaching out to other students who might be struggling with issues. Playlists are being accepted in the main office please participate and submit a playlist of 4 songs or more.

Cultures Without Borders will be celebrating the Day of the Dead by watching the movie “Coco.” All are welcome to join us Friday after school in room C141. Bring snacks.

Please help support Interact by participating in the October Food Drive. The food drive will end on November 1st, so bring in those items!

A reminder that the Hub is open for anyone afterschool to get a head start on homework and studying. This also applies to anyone who needs extra help or tutoring through Kenston Academy. Times are Monday-Thursday from 2:20-3:20. No need to sign up, just come in!

Senior portrait specifications for other Photographers: Size—no less than 300 dpi. Pose—only traditional full color portrait, head and shoulders only. Background—must be on the spectrum from cobalt to navy blue (no light blue). No hats, props, hands or inappropriate clothing. Submit your photograph electronically by email attachment to: justin.fodor@kenstonapps.org or on a CD. Under no circumstances will a senior portrait be scanned from a print. GUIDANCE NEWS:

The November 1 deadline for certain college applications is approaching quickly. If you need a recommendation letter and haven’t asked for one to date, do it today! Give the teacher and/or counselor time to write the recommendation letter. If you wait too long, they may not be able to accommodate your request.

Attention Seniors: Guidance still needs your diploma name and record consent forms. **Transcripts cannot be sent without the record request on file**

Bank of America Student Leaders program is for juniors and seniors who lead and serve their communities. Four students in the Greater Cleveland area will receive an 8-week paid internship with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank and all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. for the leadership summit. ATHLETIC NEWS:

Practice Schedule(s) for Winter Sports.

Boys Basketball tryouts will begin Friday, November 1st at 5:00 PM. Anyone interested in trying out must be registered in FinalForms and have a valid physical on file with the Athletic Department. Anyone unable to make tryouts due to currently being in an ongoing Fall sport or other activity please contact Coach DeJarnette at Derrick.DeJarnette@kenstonapps.org.

Attention all GIRLS interested in playing lacrosse for the upcoming 2020 spring season. We will be holding a meeting on Thursday November 7th at 7:00 in the KHS AB room. Come meet the new coaches and hear everything involved in making it a great season!
