This past weekend the boys cross country team and Ellie Pleune competed at the OHSAA state championships, in Hebron Ohio at the National Trail Raceway. The boys were led by sophomore Dennis Princic with a time of 16:15. Following Dennis in the scoring 5 was David Rosinski, Jack Turk, Tyler McMahan, and Nathan Bertman. Casey Pleune and Garret McConnell rounded off the Bombers as the team’s 6th and 7th man. Although it wasn’t the weekend they had planned for, the boys placed 6th out of 20 teams, achieving the highest scoring boys Division one team in Kenston History. Ellie Pleune also represented her team and school well by placing 42nd out of 183 girls. This race happened to be a PR for Pleune, she ran a 19:07. Overall these athletes did an amazing job representing Kenston High School at their 4th consecutive appearance at the state meet.
