The Kenston Bombers hockey team were the Red Central champions last season, but losing last year’s seniors will present a big change on the ice this season.
Senior Val Carriero recognized this big change and has stepped up and taken on the responsibility of being captain this year.
“With the loss of Bennet [Wenger] and Tanner [Mulhern], it’s going to be hard,” said Carriero.
After losing some of their star players last year, everyone on the team has to step up, especially the newcomers.
̈ ̈The freshman need to step up and really contribute to the team as a whole if we want to win some games this year,̈ said Carriero.
Being the captain of the team comes with many tasks like leading in warm ups, making sure everyone is in the correct position, and most importantly taking care of the team.
The Kenston Hockey teams next home game is Wednesday, Nov. 27.
