Mrs. Brust holds a club called Interact that meets on Mondays and Wednesdays during homeroom. Her class is collecting food for the food drive, winter gear for the less fortunate, and toys for the Toys for Tots foundation. This past week, students were able to sign up for bell ringing at Giant Eagle and Drug Mart on Saturday December 7. Students would stand outside of the store greeting strangers and wishing them a happy holiday. The volunteers brought speakers, hot chocolate, and coffee to stay warm and jolly. The more brave souls would sing and dance to Christmas songs and ask people for their donations. Senior Aidan Zak said, “It was some of the most fun I’ve ever had.” This is one of the few ways students at Kenston are able to stay connected within the community. Feel free to stop by room A117 during homeroom and sign up for Interact today! Remember Kenston, be kind to one another.
