Kenston Students Donating Blood

The goal for the Drive is to collect 125 pints of blood to help the lives of cancer patients, individuals involved in traumatic incidents, as well as those with blood diseases. The blood drive is an extremely compassionate thing to do for others that are in need of blood. You must be 16 or older to participate. Seniors and Juniors are preferred. If you are interested, pick up a waiver form in Guidance or Room A119. After getting your blood taken, Chipotle, pizza, and Subway will be served. For every pint of blood donated, three lives are saved. Of all the blood donated in Northeast Ohio, one-third is donated by high school students. The Red Cross believes that once a student gets past the initial fear of donating, they will become a donor for the rest of his or her life. Make sure you donate blood!

Junior Emma Hershberger said, “This is the first time I am donating blood. I am nervous, but it is for a good cause.”
