During this pandemic that is keeping people “social distancing,” it is important to stay healthy both physically and nutritionally. There are many things we can do to help boost our immunity. Excellent nutrition helps the immune system stay strong and healthy, while also helping decrease the risk of infections and disease. Having vitamins and proteins in your diet is also extremely good for your immune system and health overall. For example, fruits and vegetables are rich in vitamin C and E, which are excellent for your body. Proteins such as chicken, lean meat, and fish are also very good for your health and immune system. Drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated is also extremely advantageous in keeping our bodies healthy. Proper sleep and exercise is crucial to keep you strong and help to fight off illness.
Physically, we can do many things to stay healthy but also keep social distancing. Walking is a great way to remain active, whether you are jogging, running or taking your pets on a walk. Additionally, relaxing by meditating and taking deep breaths is great for your overall mental health. Taking breaks to participate in these activities and maintaining a good diet everyday are important to staying healthy, safe, and strong.
