Hospitals throughout the world are currently experiencing a shortage of face masks. The coronavirus COVID-19 is the reason for this shortage. Our Kenston community can help our local hospitals by volunteering to sew or to donate fabric, thread or elastic. Groups like Face Mask Makers Ohio are organizing donation efforts. Groups like this have people washing and cutting the patterns and then they deliver to people who can sew to make them. If you or someone you know have extra fabric laying around and are able to sew there are plenty of patterns online. Joann Fabrics is collecting completed face masks, and so are the local groups. The masks are quite simple to make, online there are many sites and videos showing the steps to make the masks. By doing this you are helping the nurses and doctors out tremendously.
