2020-2021 Boys Soccer Senior Night

Tommy Delzell

Tommy Delzell, accompanied by his parents, Patricia and David Delzell. Tommy has been a 4 year member of the soccer program, playing 2 years on JV and 2 years on the varsity team. Tommy is a 3 sport athlete as he is also a member of the basketball and track teams here at Kenston. His favorite soccer memory is going to Lodi, Erie, and Madison tournaments for club and KFC. Upon graduation, Kyle plans to attend college and possibly major in Forensics. He would like to say a special thank you to his family and coaches over the years and friends for shaping him into the person he is today.

 

Sean Gurd

Sean Gurd, accompanied by his parents Marcy and David, his brother Ben and his sister Molly. Sean has been a 4 year member of the soccer program, playing 2 years on JV and 2 years on varsity. He is also a member of the basketball team. One of his accomplishments in high school soccer is somehow managing to break 3 pairs of cleats in a season. His favorite all-time soccer memory is beating Poland in the championship on Halloween. Upon graduation, Sean hopes to attend either The Ohio State University or Miami University and major in pre-med. Sean would like to say thank you to his parents for spending countless hours driving, coaching and encouraging him in soccer. He would also like to thank Coach Roney for tolerating him and his fellow seniors since they were 8-years-old.

 

Jack Holodinski

Jack Holodinski, accompanied by his parents, Shannon and John Holodinski. Jack has been a 4 year member of the soccer program, playing 3 years on JV and his senior year on varsity. Jack also is a member of the varsity tennis team. His favorite soccer memory is playing Poland in the Madison tournament 2nd round and we lost 3-1. Then in the championship we turned around and beat them 3-1. Upon graduation, he plans to study business management in college. Jack would like to say thank you to his parents for always driving him to practice and to his Dad for always pushing him. A thank you as well to his coaches for pushing him to be the player that he is today.

 

Carter McAbier

Carter McAbier, accompanied by his parents, Tanja and Jay McAbier. Carter has been a 4 year member of the boys soccer program, playing 1 year on JV and the last 3 years on Varsity. Carter is also a member of the Basketball team at KHS. Last fall, he was named Honorable Mention for both Greater Cleveland and the Western Reserve Conference. Carter’s favorite soccer memory was Coach Roney teaching him the proper shooting technique when he was 8 years old at Settlers Park. Upon graduation, Carter plans to study business but is undecided where he will be attending college. He would like to thank his parents and Coach Roney for believing in him and shaping him into the man he is today.

 

Kyle Quinlan

Kyle Quinlan, accompanied this evening by his parents, Mary Jo and Michael Quinlan. Kyle has been a 4 year member of the soccer program, playing 2 years on JV and 2 years on Varsity. He is also a member of the basketball program. Last fall, Kyle was named a member of the All Western Reserve Conference team and was named All-Greater Cleveland Honorable Mention. His favorite soccer memory is playing in the Hudson tournaments when he was younger. Spending all day together and playing in bad weather was so much fun. Next fall, he plans on attending a 4 year college but is currently undecided on a major. Kyle would like to say thank you to his parents who constantly support him and keep him on the right path. Also, he would like to thank Coach Roney for being the best mentor he could ask for.

 

Tommy Roche

Tommy Roche, accompanied by his parents, Megan and Tom Roche and his sister Ellie Roche. Tommy has been a 4 year member of the soccer program, playing 2 years on JV and 2 years on varsity. Tommy’s favorite soccer memory is playing for KFC when the team would gather around to see who would get the golden Blow Pop. He is undecided on where to attend college next fall but plans to major in business. Tommy wants to say thank you to his parents for driving him to countless tournaments. A thank you to his mom for always making him meals and taking him to practice. Thank you to his Dad for letting him take countless shots on him in the front yard – he wouldn’t be the person he is today without you.

 

Cooper Roney

Cooper Roney, accompanied by his parents, Trip and Megan Roney. Cooper has been a 4 year member of the soccer program, playing 1 year on JV and the last 3 years on varsity. Cooper also played club soccer for 7 years. His favorite soccer memory is when he got to play against all of his buddies in a rivalry match and got the win as the underdog. Upon graduation, he plans to attend college but is undecided on what he will study. Cooper wants to thank his Mom for being his number one supporter and his Coach/Dad for literally being there for every game and coaching him to be the best he can be.

 

Will Smith

Will Smith, accompanied by his parents Gemma and Lar along with his brother Luke. Will has been a 4 year member of the soccer program, playing 2 years on JV and 2 years on varsity. Will is also a member of the bowling team. His favorite soccer memory of all-time is playing alongside his brother this fall! Upon graduation, Will plans on attending college and pursuing a career in finance. He would like to say thank you to his parents and brother for sticking with him through the high and lows of his High School career.

 

Andrew Watts

Andrew Watts, accompanied by his parents, Sherry and Matt Watts. Andrew has been a 4 year member of the soccer program, playing all 4 years on the varsity team. In 2019, he was named a member of the Western Reserve All Conference team. His all-time favorite soccer memory was winning a home playoff game against Nordonia in 2018. Next fall, Andrew plans to attend college and major in biology. He would like to thank his parents for sacrificing their time and money to allow him to play the sport he loves. Thank you as well to his coaches who have helped develop his skills over the years.
